  • DETAILS: Manual and automated handling of rolled roofing membrane; while most of the work is automated, team members will at time have to handle heavy material and will need the ability to lift 75 pounds; material handling and forklift operation is required with on-the-job training and internal certification provided; cross-train in different areas of production and rotates as needed; demonstrate a positive and professional attitude with a high regard for safety and quality; and more.

MRO Sales Representative – Boston, Massachusetts

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Promotes the sealant, adhesive, and maintenance, repair & operations (“MRO”) products manufactured by the SOPREMA Group companies to the marketplace; develops new business; implements customer retention, upsell and maintenance (“RUM”) activities necessary to support and expand the existing customer base; plans and manages individual sales route; uses Salesforce platforms to ensure effective and professional follow-up with customers; and more.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preps and stages all batches.
  • Ensures adherence to instructions and formulas. Confirms batch compliance with quality control or shift lead to ensure batch sheets are correct and proper processes are in use.
  • Thoroughly documents and completes paperwork related to batch processes for quality purposes.
  • Meets performance objectives as required.
  • Responsible for work area cleanliness. Includes trash, floors, machine cleanliness, and 5S activities.
  • Provides back-up assistance to other areas of the company as required.
  • Complies with all safety, health, regulatory, and PPE compliance laws and policies.
  • Works with all other batch tenders, packagers, pot cleaners, material handlers. Courteously and professionally interacts with shipping/receiving, quality control, and maintenance.

Education, training, and/or qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred, or 3 months or more related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic math understanding.
  • A demonstrated ability to read and follow formulas and instructions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Packages batches following guidelines and work instructions.
  • Set up boxes, FP’s, tubes, or other items for packaging.
  • Responsible for matching packaging tickets with dates codes, FP’s, and appropriate labels.
  • Ensures clean work environment including sweeping, cleaning, and work-off. Cleans parts on machine clean-downs.
  • Provides back-up assistance to other production positions as needed.
  • Complies with all safety, health, and regulatory compliance laws and policies.

Education, training and/or qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred, or 3 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A demonstrated ability to read and follow formulas and instructions.
